Hey, all,
It's been a whirlwind of a year as Sarah and I have been preparing ourselves to head down to Dallas, TX to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. Sar's been working at Moody ever since she graduated and I had been, too, when I switched to fill our church's, Calvary Memorial Church, need for an Interim Director of Children's Ministries. I've been doing that now for just more than three months and I have been truly loving it. I oversee AWANA, Sunday School, and everything else that has to do with children, minus the children's choir.
Probably most people who read this will know that our car, while parked at our church, was hit by a PACE bus in Oak Park. They ended up totaling our car and we ended up buying a new car from a friend. It's an SUV and a gas guzzler, but God provides. It cost us less than the check we got from insurance, and we will be very happy to have it on our big move down to Dallas. You can find more about the accident
here.
Something that has been challenging and stretching but excellent is that we have been moved out of our apartment for two and a half weeks now, because our lease was up at the end of October. We have been living with friends. Our Calvary family has stepped up and embraced us with love and grace, and it has been overwhelming to see God's love shine through His people to envelop us.
